Description

As a Communications Representative I, you will use your skills and expertise to create informative and engaging multi-media content including press releases, blogs and social media posts that promote SNC's company's brand and products. The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer and possess experience with media research and analytics tools. You will be working across the company, identifying optimal ways to inform target audiences about our work through earned, paid and owned media opportunities and live events, both internally and externally. You will need to be a quick learner, utility player and active contributor to a fun and smart team that looks for ways to support one another and make a difference for the company. Must be a motivated and independent individual with strong creative skills, positive attitude and team mentality.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications. Responsibilities Include:
  • Developing written content in a variety of formats and voices, e.g. press releases, internal blog, external blog, social posts, website copy
  • Media research and reporting and some media relations
  • Assist with brand oversight and implementation of standards across formats


  • Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing or a related field, and typically 0-2 years or more of related work experience.
  • Familiarity with marketing and communications strategies and campaigns
  • General understanding of the process for producing press releases, brochures, and guides
  • Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills [please provide at least 2 different writing samples]
  • Expert understanding of AP Style
  • Prior experience working in a marketing or communications role
  • Ability to research a topic and provide insightful analysis of subject matter to team members
  • Knowledge of media database tools such as Meltwater, Muck Rack or similar and media relations experience
  • Up-to-date on Public Relations industry trends and able to stay ahead of the curve
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Creative, multi-media content creation skills
  • Must be able to think analytically and strategically
  • Must possess the ability to multitask & meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, articulate and have excellent people skills
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours & travel when necessary


  • Preferred:
  • 2 or more years of Marketing, Public Relations/Branding or related experience
  • Passion for working in a marketing or communications role
  • Light graphic design and photo editing skills
  • Knowledge of website CMS platforms for basic editing
  • Digital editing skills [audio and video]
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance may be required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances
