Description

Basic Function:

Seeking a strategic, highly effective communications professional with a track record of excellence in PR and marketing, including executive counsel, thought leadership, media relations, advertising and branding, speechwriting, content creation, crisis communications, and management of social and digital channels. The ideal candidate will work across the organization to plan and execute the company’s overall communications and digital program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute communications plans and campaigns highlighting the company’s activities and commitment to technology, workforce, and safety in the U.S. market
  • Lead marketing efforts and digital/social channel management to increase share of voice, reputation and brand awareness
  • Advise senior leadership on communications and marketing approaches
  • Manage stakeholder engagement program and center of excellence model for strategic communications
  • Manage project teams with responsibility for execution of communication projects on time and on budget, and guide and mentor staff members to successful outcomes
  • Create content including copy, speeches and messaging, points, storyboards, executive letters, and serve as project manager for vendors for videos, photos, interactives, infographics
  • Interact with news media to help share stories about company activities and priorities
  • Lead or assist in the evaluation and selection of speaking opportunities, development of presentations, and support a review-and-approval program to ensure the integrity and quality of external presentations
  • Identify and research emerging issues and clearly communicates findings, and evaluate communication activities for effectiveness and recommends adjustments as needed.
  • Assist with special projects to support major brand sponsorships and programs to help key stakeholders, employees, the business community, industry peers, and the general public better understand the vision, mission, history, and goals of the company
  • Assist in developing and executing crisis communications plan
  • Participate in the annual budget and planning cycle to support communications and marketing objectives, initiatives and KPIs
  • Serve as authority in the absence of the communications supervisor to make recommendations with impact on communications and reputation
  • Perform other duties and participates in special projects as assigned

To be successful in this role, a strong track record in the following is required:

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Proficient with business software applications
  • Typically, at least twelve (12) years of corporate communication and/or marketing experience; agency experience is a plus 
  • Experience working in a multinational company is a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field. Master’s degree preferred but not required
  • Accreditation or certification from recognized communications
    • organization such as the Public Relations Society of American (PRSA) or the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is preferred
