POSITION TITLE: Communications Associate
REPORTS TO: Chief Visionary Officer and Director of Programs
EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION: In-Person, Part-time, Non- Exempt up to 25 hours/week
PRIMARY PURPOSES: CCFF Communications Associate is responsible for effective messaging/ communication strategies, products, and resources both internal and external. They must oversee the development of promotional, educational, and programmatic multi-media materials for CCFF. They work with all forms of media, including press releases and digital campaigns, print materials, social media, and A/V elements. Will be responsible for outreach, promotion, lead generation, and building awareness of CCFF among target audiences including donors, participants, partners, volunteers, and stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUITES
- Oversee and execute CCFF communications plan and resources
- Interpret branding, marketing, and communication needs of CCFF staff
- Develop, promote, and advance CCFF brand
- Build social media engagement strategy to increase social media presence
- Guide production and dissemination of materials using discretion and independent judgment
- Seamlessly carry out a diverse array of ongoing, reoccurring, and one-time communications
- Develop key messages using research and analytics to drive planning and strategy
- Track and evaluate performance and progress of strategies using quantifiable metrics
- Develop graphics, imagery, brochures, materials, etc for Fatherhood promotions
- Promote program activities and events (i.e. mini grants, KYDAD Academy, Annual Summit, etc.)
- Ensure all systems and office resources are in place to support day-to-day communications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, donors, etc.
- Oversee website content and update for accuracy and effectiveness
- Ability to exercise judgment and initiative when representing CCFF
- Mastery of current and emerging social media platforms
- Knowledge of emerging field resources and expertise in relevant software, apps, and programs
- Ability to communicate across sectors (human/social services, government, faith-based, education/academy, and businesses)
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, IT, graphic design, or related field preferred (not required)
Experience: Two or more years of communications, marketing, graphics. Website management/development and IT experience preferred
